A drabble is a fictional story comprised of exactly 100 words (excluding title).
One Day in the Suburbs
“Did you notice anything strange about the new neighbors?”
“That they each have two heads?”
“No, that’s not it.”
“That they have tails?”
“No.”
“They drink gasoline?”
“No, it’s something else. I just can’t put my finger on it.”
“Well, now that you mention it, we were there for an hour, and their daughter never once pulled out a cellphone and started texting.”
“That’s it! I think they might be religious weirdos. Quakers or something.”
“I don’t think they’re Quakers. I read that Quakers don’t believe in barbecuing.”
“Well, whatever. Grab the bear traps and let’s go stop some traffic.”

It's a weird world out there...
Once again that last paragraph (here, a mere sentence) caught me by surprise! Thanks for sharing.
